Spiranthes porrifolia

The Spiranthes are known as Ladies'-tresses because of the braided appearance of the flower spikes. These are the Western Ladies'-tresses, a species found only in the far west of the United States. They are very rare in Washington with only one site that I know of, but these were photographed in Oregon in the Rogue River area.
