Quinault River, Olympic National Park
We had to ford this river on foot to do our days hiking (it's swifter than it looks) and while coming back, one of the boys with whom we were hiking found a loaded Colt .45 at the bottom of the river, which we turned in at the Ranger Station.

No we were hiking in the Queets Rainforest which is further south.
