La Ciotat est une ville à la Côte d'Azur (France). Le môle (ici un détail) et son phare signalent aujourd'hui l' entrée du port de la ville. Pendant quelques siècles le môle (construit de 1835 à 1840) était une partie d' un fort pour défendre La Ciotat. Le nom "Bérouard" est dérivé de balouard, signfiant plate-forme de terre occupée par un bastion.
