Dark

Yesterday, I was feeling despair over the destruction and death in Ukraine. I was on my way home from an appointment when I decided to drive around a bit. This is one of my favorite places, just a compost and mulch processing area owned by the city. As I've been after work hours before, it has always been deserted when I'm there. It seems rather primal to me and I've taken many shots here that are also in my Ipernity gallery (see my Album "Modoc Lumber Co." for less heavy imagery here}. Unlike other times I've come here, there was a lot of activity due to construction.
So, I stayed on the road around the periphery and kind of enjoyed the way the "prison fence" matched my mood. Looking up at enormous piles of compost was also interesting. The afternoon was very dark. That also satisfied me. Some shots were edited to lighten and increase color a little, but this one really represents how I was feeling.
