YES! I am so old that I remember Eisenhower quite well! I was old enough at the time he was elected to express my little kid condolences to my mother, who had voted for Stevenson. She said, "That's OK, he's our president now and we need to support our president." I remember the sort of prim look on her face, as if she was determined to do her patriotic duty. WOW - imagine! Those were the days.

Biden is a good person. Intelligent, compassionate and very seasoned on the world stage. Harris is the same, with less to do with the world stage and more to do with public policy and racial issues. We'll see how much of a battle we'll have with the ultra-right, neo-nazis and conspiracy spinners. Ol' Orange One will do everything he can to whip up those factions.
