Migrating herd

These are pronghorn, the "non-antelope." These appear to be does with young. (It's a bad photo, sorry.) They belong to the family Antilocapridae, related to goats as well as antelopes. They can run up to 60 mph in very large herds and migrate over long distances. The pronghorns in this photo are only about half of the herd. Here are much better photos of them: tinyurl.com/y2u4sekm
, Smiley Derleth, Andy Rodker, Heidiho and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

Diane Putnam club has replied to Marie-claire GalletDiane Putnam club has replied to slgwv clubSeeing as not much is going on in your country today, Diane (Apart from trying to overthrow a maniacal demagogue by democratic means), we could talk whimsically about the butterflies and making marmalade and all the things that seemed interesting and important only 8 months ago (and perhaps we still should!).
Diane Putnam club has replied to Andy Rodker clubUgh! I am a nervous wreck. I am fairly certain Biden will win, but the other one is making horrible statements on Twitter and TV sounding just like a fascist. It's really gotten beyond his former worst. I don't know...anything can happen...
I haven't made marmalade (I should!), but I did make a pineapple upside-down cake, a 1950s casual dessert my mother used to make. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upside-down_cake
To make it properly, you need a cast iron skillet for baking, but at my age I'm not going to be buying new cookware - especially a pan I can barely lift!
