Scottish Rite

Scottish Rite
According to sparse information online, there is a Scottish Rite speech pathology clinic here and also in another location. This is also a sort of church, where certain rituals are practiced. On the MIT website (web.mit.edu/dryfoo/Masons/Misc/SRdegrees.html ), this is the gist of it:

"The Degrees of the Scottish Rite are one-act plays often staged with costume, scenery, special effects, and the full rigging of any production. Their purpose is to examine different philosophies, ancient religions, and systems of ethics."

Then, there is a summary explanation of the many Degrees, culminating in the "Grand Cross of the Court of Honour." It's worth taking a peek just to grasp how elaborate - I would say mind-boggling - it is to practice Scottish Rite. It is somehow related to the Masons. I have never seen anyone parked in front or in the parking lot of this building, no people in or out. There is no website for this particular organization or for the clinics.

Sounds like a model of good practice the *Italo-Byzantine group could follow.
The blue blue sky and the sharp sharp edges and shadows give it an enigmatic and threatening aspect.

Exactly what I thought. I expected the leader of the Scientologists to come out of that door..
Thank you, Steve.
