Autocar (what?)

Autocar (what?)
I thought this was a joke, but there really is a truck manufacturer called Autocar. No, they don't make cars. This one is old, probably 1970s or 80s.

Aschi "Freestone", Buelipix, Andy Rodker, Ronald Losure and 3 other people have particularly liked this photo

That sounds like the chaotic ownership history of several auto and truck mfrs. I've read about, Jeep, for one. Severe-duty sounds pretty serious,

Very dangerous et threatening too on highways. Once, we got very close to get a piece of this one on highway 90 between Syracuse and Ohio state in 2010. I decided to pass this truck with re-treads and I saw this killer piece flying away right behind it at high speed. We were just behind this truck 10 second before. I never follow trucks too long since then and if I have to, I keep a long distance between them and us most particularly when we are in motorcycle,

Yes, they do have that reputation! If you follow on a motorcycle, that can be fatal. ;-o

Well, you could have knocked me over with a feather, Diane!
I'm astonished! One of the most famous films from Stateside in Britain is Spielberg's first main feature and the one that made his name.

Never saw it, knowing at the time it wasn't my cuppa.
