On a budget?

Try the retro-fabulous Curly Redwood Lodge, opened in 1957. Very simple, clean, huge rooms and lots of vintage features remain. Even much of the 1950s pointy-legged furniture is still there. I really regret not getting a shot of the stone fireplace in the lobby. All the time I was staying there, I felt like I was at a poor-man's Rat Pack resort.

I know perfectly well about the Rat-Pack and it was good to be reminded of some details, but what is the relevance to this shot, the hotel and your notes. I don't get the connection!
