A good place for clamming

I have no idea what kind of structure was on that rock.

It took me forever to decide I wouldn't die from trying oyster stew.
The only camping I ever did was with my parents with they got an RV ... that was my speed. no being on the ground with creepy crawlies !
But, I do love my yearly visits from the Garden Spider - the Argiope that spins an incredible web and ladder .... but, our visiting daughter looked at the pics ... "Mom .. it is a spider ! Yuk." But, she will go camping in a heart beat.
It's in the genes, me thinks !

(never had clams, either)
I'm from a hard-core camping family. Tents only, sometimes the ground, and even a hand-dug john if we weren't in an official campground. I miss being one with nature, don't mind bugs too much (this is size-dependent!), but I don't miss the sheer WORK of camping.
