This is the point where the Isterdalen valley meets the main valley Romsdalen. It's also the meeting point of the rivers Istra and Rauma. At the other end of the Istra valley you will find the Trollstigen road, you can see the top of it in this photo.

This is the canyon like Romsdalen valley in western Norway. Below you can see the town of Åndalsnes and the Romsdalsfjord. The river is named Rauma and is green and beautiful. This is captured from the viewpoint named Rampestreken (537 m.a.s.l). I had to walk up from Åndalsnes to get here. At the bottom of this photo you can see some of the stairs that have been built to ease the walk up here. This trail is part of a longer mountain trail that continues op to the mountain and further up the valley. The famous Trollstigen road can be found in the valley that is directly under the sun, the Isterdalen valley. The top of that road is visible from this point.

Trollveggen

The troll wall, better known as Trollveggen was first climbed in 1965. From the valley floor to the top there is about 1700 meters. BASE jumping was popular here but became illegal in 1986 after several deaths and difficult rescue operations. However, people keep jumping and dying here, the last one in 2012. 9 people have died here so far. The photo was taken from Mt. Litlefjellet.
