Muskox (Ovibos moschatus)

Spotted in Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella national park, Norway.
These ice age animals are not afraid of humans and do not run away when they see you. They will however consider you a predator and may attack if you get too close. I was lucky to stumble upon two grownups and two calfs shortly after starting my walk. I also saw 10 animals in a group in the far distance.

Roar Bævre Photograp… club has replied to Gudrun clubWe had a guided safari there and saw them too - but only from far distance. Just spots on the photos (which, btw. I cannot access - burnt CD became unreadable after my return).
