I am so sorry for what happened there… glad to know you are ok even with a lot of cleaning to do.
When I was in secondary school there has been a terrible flood north (Lisboa and Tejo bank villages and towns), teenagers were asked to help. Buses were organized to take us there. I never forgot the mud and all the things destroyed… for me, born and raised in a dry land, it was something unknown and dreadful.

Oh Chrissy, how devastating to see this! To think it used to be a place of music and enjoyment. To see it all tumbled around caked in mud just hurts inside of me. :( Know that your efforts in the clean up are so appreciated by those in the area where you are volunteering. Tons of powerful positive energies going your way for the strength to get you through this. Yes, unfortunately you will carry those images in your mind of all of this. If possible take comfort in knowing that this disaster has brought together so many people determined to clean up and move forward no matter how slowly. Thankful that you are alright and able to help others. Stay Well Chrissy!

Ja, es ist echt schlimm, was da in Deutschland passiert ist! Da haben wir in der Schweiz mit den paar Hochwassern echt Glück gehabt. Jetzt wird dann die grosse Aufarbeitung passieren und lange verschobene Präventionskonzepte an die Hand genommen werden müssen....

Ich hatte gedacht, die Mosel sei verschont geblieben. Offenbar doch nicht überall!
Die Zahl der Schlagzeuge lässt auf ein großes Orchester in eurer Schule schließen!
Mal angenommen, die kleineren Instrumente wurden nicht in der Schule gelagert, wo sind dann Kontrabässe und Flügel geblieben?
Auf jeden Fall wünsche ich euch, dass eure Versicherung euch nicht enttäuscht!

Ja, die Mosel hat ganz schön Glück gehabt! Dafür bin ich wirklich dankbar. Ich bin an einer Schule in der Eifel.
