Dies ist die Chorruine der ehemaligen Zisterzienserabtei Heisterbach. Geweiht wurde die Kirche im Jahr 1237.
Während der Säkularisation wurde die Abtei aufgegeben und 15 Jahre lang als Steinbruch verwendet (was für eine Schande).
