Teleskopgasbehälter / Telescopic gas tank: "Koche mit Gas!" - "Cook with gas!"

➽ Das Gaswerk Augsburg wurde 1915 im Augsburger Stadtteil Oberhausen in Betrieb genommen. Seit 2001 ist das gesamte Gaswerk mit dem Gaskessel stillgelegt. Die bis 1915 erbauten Gebäude überstanden den Zweiten Weltkrieg unbeschadet und stehen heute unter Denkmalschutz. Das acht Hektar große Gelände hat zum Teil park- und schlossähnlichen Charakter. Es gilt als Denkmal von europäischem Rang und ist einzigartig in Bayern. Es sind noch fast alle Gebäude erhalten und zwei verschiedene Gasbehälterarten (Teleskop- und Scheibengasbehälter PiPs) zu sehen. Quelle: Wikipedia

➽ The gasworks Augsburg was taken in operation in 1915 in the Augsburg district of Oberhausen. Since 2001 the entire gas plant and also the gas tank was shut down. The buildings survived the WW II unscathed and are now a protected monument. The eight-acre site has park- and castle-like character. It's considered as a monument of European importance and is unique in Bavaria. There are still preserved almost all the buildings and you can see two different types of gas tank (telescopic and disk gas tank PiPs). Source: Wikipedia
