Carpobrotus edulis

PLEASE CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO SEE IT BETTER
Carpobrotus edulis is native to South Africa. It is also known as Hottentot-fig,[1] ice plant, highway ice plant or pigface and in South Africa as the sour fig (suurvy; earlier: hotnotsvy), on account of its edible fruit.
On the Mediterranean coast, Carpobrotus has spread out rapidly and now parts of the coastline are completely covered by this invasive species.

We have a similar problem with the rhododendron.
ottima la tua scelta prospettica, eccellente anche profondità !
But when I searched wikipedia to copy my note here I read about another aspect which I ignored: the fruits of this plant are eaten by the rats and so rats help the plant to spread even more and the plant helps the rats to multiply and thrive... a mutual assistance!
