Der Kirchturm von Graun, an dem ich jährlich oft vorbei fahre zum Lago di Garda und zurück...

8000 Autofahrer kommen täglich an diesem Kirchturm in Südtirol vorbei. Seine Geschichte können immer weniger Leute am Reschensee erzählen.

Danke für die beiden Artikel zur Entrstehung dieses 'Denkmals, Udo! Muss auch jedes Mal an die traurige Geschichte der brutalen Verteibung der Dorfbewohner denken, wenn ich den Turm passiere.

At first glance I thought this was a straining tower, but I see it's a church tower, so I assume that the body of water is a reservoir. It's a lovely scene but with a sad history. There are submerged villages in Wales too for that same reason.
