Of course all tongue in cheek; I certainly wasn't on the Christmas card list of any of them!
Iain Anderson - met by accident, I walked past his cottage and he came out and invited me inside for a cuppa!
Tony Grieg; Was stuck in a lift with him for a couple of minutes in a hotel in Leeds. I was working at a lighting exhibition - a holiday job - and he was of course captaining England at the 1976 Headingly Test Match versus the Windies. I just about managed to summon up a tremulous 'Good luck' as we gratefully stepped out of the lift. He turned round to say thank you and banged his head on the lift door. I thought I might have scuppered any remaining chance we had of saving the test! At 18 these things can weigh heavily!!!
Twiggy - went to the same school as a Landlady of mine (extremely tenuous THAT link I grant you!),
Rosamund Pilcher - a good friend of my aunt's in Cornwall and
David Bellamy went to my school.
As I said. Name-dropping. I SOOO hate it!!!!

Tony Grieg? , I know the others though. Rosamunde Pilcher being especially famous in Germany. My claim to name dropping, well I was once only a couple of feet away from the queen!!! but don't tell anyone as they would want my autograph too. Andy, you can post me your autograph on a £20 note in the usual manner :) H

Can't find a £20 note, Bill. I hope a 50euro note will be acceptable!
Tony Grieg. You are obviously not a cricket fan!
He was the South African born all-rounder who captained England in the mid to late 70s. He was very tall, hence his hitting his head on the lift door!
