Porzana porzana - Spotted Crake
Taille : 24 cm
Envergure : 37 à 42 cm.
Poids : 60 à 115 g
Longévité : 7 ans
se nourrit de coléoptères, nymphes de libellules, insectes aquatiques, chenilles, mollusques, graines de plantes aquatiques, c'est un grand migrateur nocturne qui va hiverner en Afrique Tropicale, elle préfère courir ou nager plutôt que voler, elle vit, en général, solitaire ou en couple, elle est menacée par suite de la disparition des habitats, la chasse et les dérangements pendant la nidification.
