Eh, lo so anch'io.

As youngsters we'd talk of various European tour plans all of which invariably included meeting up on the Spanish Steps :~)

And never visited?

We entered Italy from Austria on a motorbike having crossed the Alps, we went to Trieste and then on down the coast of Yugoslavia to Dubrovnik and then inland to Belgrade before heading north again back through Trieste and on to Venice where we stayed on the lido for a few days, then back to France for a while and then home. So Rome is still a delight to discover one day :~)
I've visited northern Italy several rimes since.

I did this tour, but not Belgrade and only till Split, Nick. This was the old Yugoslavia.Another time I visited Trieste and part of the coast of Slovenia. And the third time the Krk Island. I found all the cost beautiful , not to speak from Plitvice Park.

In all the times I went to Rome I never sat there, only walked on the steps or passed by in the place.
