Twelve years ago, at age 83, this was the only photo of my diseased husband I saved.

The Housefinch, sitting at my birdbath and approaching at top speed, the Goldfinch.

The Cardinal just took off as I was taking this photo, but in the background there are many Goldfinches hiding and one House Finch on the power line.

This morning we noticed an influx of the number of Goldfinches in our yard. During the winter months we have had about a dozen of birds at our feeders. Today there are at least three dozen here and I have had to fill up all feeders again, they were full yesterday, but empty this morning.
