En route to Point Pelee: One of the eight Monarch butterflies I counted today.

En route to Point Pelee: One of the eight Monarch butterflies I counted today.
Today I witnessed the beginning of the migration of the Monarch butterflies. I counted eight while we were at the bridge, all were flying in the same direction, their destiny is migration to Mexico starting out at Point Pelee, Ontario, the southern most point of Canada. There, they gather by the thousands and then one morning start out flying all at once forming a big cloud.
I am attaching a blog for Monarch migration:

From the blog I understand they are gathering only in the north, then move to Point Pelee from there.
