This tree has to most intense colors of all trees in our neighborhood and these photos did not need editing. Sugar maple are the trees that syrup is made from. I don't like maple syrup, but restaurants even serve it with pancakes.

I miss seeing these colors down here in the south. I love maple syrup, too. It is a luxury, but such a delight on pancakes. We keep a big bottle in the refrigerator.

I can very well imagine, that your Fall colors are not really noticeable. Our Florida family is waiting every year for my photos from Michigan. One year I even pressed some maple leaves and sent them to Florida. Luckily the leaves kept their colors fairly well.
