I have a similar pole with a hanging tray of sunflower seeds. Climbing the pole is easy for squirrels, but for a long time they had trouble reaching the tray. Then one squirrel learned the exact method for moving from the pole to the tray without tipping it over. Now, all the squirrels can do it.
