Carolina wren in nest

This wren made a nest in a basket that was sitting about a meter from the front door of the house. It has been very brave and is still sitting on its eggs. I am expecting baby wrens very soon.

The eggs hatched on 17 June. Their mother has been very busy bringing them little insect larvae every few minutes.

The babies are growing quickly. Their mother brings some little invertebrate for them to eat every few minutes (but not while I am there with the camera).
