Cattle egret by pond

Not sure what the attraction is with these and cattle but I was watching one the other day near a small herd and it seemed when a cow saw it, the cow moved away quiet quickly.

I think the birds are waiting for the cattle to stir up insects from the ground, then they eat them. Here, there aren't many cattle, so they feed at the edge of ponds. Best wishes for the rest of the weekend, Maurice.
