Papst Johannes XXIII. (* 25. November 1881 in Sotto il Monte, Provinz Bergamo, Lombardei; † 3. Juni 1963 in der Vatikanstadt) – bürgerlicher Name Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli – wurde am 28. Oktober 1958 als Nachfolger von Pius XII. zum 261. Papst der römisch-katholischen Kirche gewählt. Er wird auch der „Konzilspapst“ oder wegen seiner Bescheidenheit und Volksnähe im Volksmund il Papa buono („der gute Papst“) genannt. Er wurde am 3. September 2000 von Papst Johannes Paul II. seliggesprochen. Papst Franziskus sprach Johannes XXIII. am 27. April 2014 heilig.

Meine erste Erinnerung an einen Papst ist eben Johannes der XXIII. Ich empfand ihn auch als sehr bodenständig. Eine schöne ruhige Szene aus Italien sehe ich hier. Sehr verspätetes HFF und ein schöne Woche !
