I am still not fully engaged with Ipernity until next Tuesday.

Where did that lamppost come from?
When I took this photo looking up river from the Queen's bridge to the Auld Brig, I didn't notice the lamp post in the way. It's funny what the brain ignores isn't it?
The spire belongs to St.Matthew's church. The building was completed in 1871, and is now a category B listed building. The bridges cross the River Tay, which is the longest river in Scotland and the seventh-longest in Great Britain, and which eventually reaches the sea in Dundee.
Thistles in Perth
Sculpture by David F Wilson.
The 8 thistle heads, sculpted in copper, stand 3.5 metres tall, and are supported by stainless steel supports. I'd like to see this sculpture on a sunny day in summer, when the surrounding gardens look their best.
Sorry - I couldn't find any fences for this week.
