Lest we forget

We watched the proceedings at the Cenotaph this morning. I found it very moving indeed, Keith. We watch it every year, but because of the sparseness, the whole ceremony was even more moving than normal. My thoughts were with all the young men and women of many generations and nationalities who have been cut down in their prime, and what is so sad is that it still happens. And of course we have a new silent killer at the moment.

As usual I was the only one in my immediate vicinity observing the 2 minutes silence (but as I was walking in Madrid that was hardly surprising!)

I'm always moved to tears when the bugler plays the Last Post.
