You never know Amelia! 2,528 silver coins were found in the Chew Valley, Somerset last week! The most I have ever found is 10p on a beach...and that was without a detector!!

Buried treasure is there to be found, where there is though is anybodies guess :)

It's a very popular hobby apparently............and finds such as those Rosa mentions will only make it more popular I suspect.

After the recent find there will more people trying that, the magnet fisher keep pulling old grenades out of the canal in Leicester the bomb squad has to come and deal with them

Hi Amelia last time i was out with a metal detector was as a school boy .. along with a couple of friends we found an old WW!! shell head with what looked like a split pin through it ... but then we were detecting and digging around R.A.F Metheringham's old Bomb dump .. DURR STUPID :))
