I bought this book many years ago in a second hand book store. I have very little idea about its history, when it was printed, and who signed it; but Mrs.Lankester dedicated the book to Henry Atkinson and Alice Parker in 1875. The book is entitled 'Talks About Plants'. It has gold leaf edging on the pages, and lists of published books in the back, one of them being priced at 6d - 2 1/2p today.

Hello Amelia an interesting shot again here ... looks like an hardback copy of this book with green cover and gold flowers came out in 1878 and was written by Phoebe Lankester .. ( died 9th April 1900 )
