What can I do if a login page is insecure?

If a login page for your favorite site is insecure, you can try and see if a secure version of the page exists by typing https:// before the url in the location bar. You can also try to contact the web administrator for the site and ask them to secure their connection.

I HAVE HAD MORE PROBLEMS LOGGING INTO IPERNITY FOR 12 HOURS TODAY, AS HAVE ANDY RODKER & ALAN DRURY.

Blåsjø Water Reservoir located in Ryfylke and Setesdal. Blåsjø is Norway's largest artificial lake, and kept in place by 11 small and larger dams. When regulated to its highest water level, Blåsjø covers an area of over 82sqkm. Storvassdammen, Oddatjørndammen and Førrevassdammen are some of the largest dams connected to the Blåsjø water reservoir.

Wonderful clear water !

The login problem you and some others have had are fixed. The cookies had to be reset and Christophe has done that.

I am still having difficulties, Pam, but if I spend about 10 minutes persevering each time, I can eventually put in my email address and password. Mozilla Firefox doesn't like ipernity, and states that it is an insecure site. I have sent William and advisory email for when IMA takes over - if that happens.

Amelia...

I use FF always have... I have zero problems. Others also have not had the problems who are using Firefox

Nor does FF tell me Ipernity is insecure for many weeks now..,that problem was addressed months ago

The cookies were out of date.. that was the problem... Christophe sorted it.

Your computer is still holding the old cookies more than probably.. that is usually the reason

I do suggest you clear your cookies by doing a hard refresh. This is not a Firefox problem.

EDIT TO ADD

As Gudrun said below..there is now a thread explaining

www.ipernity.com/group/2260604/discuss/187576

And is why you need to clear your cookies as i said above.

Hope this makes it clearer what happened and that it is NOT a Firefox problem and is very solvable.

Have you tried deactivating Norton toolbar? (Extras, Add-ons). A while ago when I had problems this helped (the cause of the problems then was a certificate that had lapsed).
Funny enough I now have Norton toolbar activated again and the only thing that happens is that I get a little note (this site is unsafe) under the field for the password, but I can login normally.

Basically all problems stem from the fact that the login is only http instead of https and this should be changed asap!

Btw- now there's the reason for the cookie business explained: www.ipernity.com/group/2260604/discuss/187576

Certainly looks cool, here where I live people jump into the frozen sea totally naked, they say it is good for the heart. I will jump into the sea to cool off but the sea temperature must not be below 28 C

Amelia club has replied to Stormlizard club
If I jumped into the open icy sea I'd have a heart attack, John. A few people swim in the sea in all weathers in the UK too. I suppose it's what one gets used to. As a child I would swim in the North sea in Scotland in most weather. ;-)

best wishes ... Steve

I had to give it a go, Steve, after all it was the height of summer. I'd left my camera on dry ground with Per, a Norwegian Pano friend, who captured the look of ... well ... horror actually, on my camera.

I'm still finding it difficult to log in. Firefox tells me that Ipenity is an insecure site, and advises the web people (Christophe or IMA)) to set up an https site as opposed to just http. It's all gobbledygook to me.

Apparently Christophe has sorted the cooky problem now, Alan, so I'm pleased that you can get back on Ipernity. I still have many problems logging in. Mozilla Firefox definitely does not like this site.

The water looks very clear ~ sorry to read that you have had problems xxx

The water was as clear as crystal, Nick, but my skin was gradually turning purple. I managed about 5 minutes in this foot-bath. This photo was taken right at the beginning of my foolhardy behaviour. Will I never learn to grow old gracefully? ;-)

Looks refreshing Amelia ... as for logging in, if the problem you had was anything to do with cookies then welcome to the club! :(

Amelia club has replied to autofantasia club
Yes it was a conflict of cookies, Paul, but I have had other problems too. At one point Ipernity wanted me to log in with a Facebook account. That took a day to sort out. Now I have to sign in using my email address and password each time. I'm getting used to it. :-)

Very attractive! We have 34°C since days:) Best regards, Karl
7 years ago.
Amelia club has replied to Karl Hartwig Schütz club
The highest temperature recorded in our garden was 33C, far to hot for me with my pale freckly skin, Karl. Before the heatwave we had high winds which broke clematis and sweet pea stems. My old-fashioned roses have suffered in the dry weather too, making no new growth or buds, with each bloom lasting only a couple of days before drying up. A disastrous 3 weeks for the garden.

... gives actual meaning to the expression: "getting cold feet" ...

... yes, 34C in Maryland US too (early for that heat, more August-like) ... too hot to be building a small barn at 70 years, but must be done; just stay hydrated ... (which is why I am going to Maine soon) ...
Amelia club has replied to L. L. Wall club
I thought I was a busy person at the age of 75, but building a barn is a step too far, Wally. Is that a temporary holiday in Maine?
L. L. Wall club has replied to Amelia club
... yes but it was a very small barn ...
... I have a "saltbox" cottage in far-Downeast Maine (where Canada, Maine, and the Atlantic come together) and migrate north to spend Summers there. When it gets above 26C, the local Mainers start holding their foreheads and moaning about a heatwave. Unheated cottage, so no wintering there.

Great selfie in the Pip..!! Today was apparently the hottest day of the year..........I could have done with a bit of icy water..!!

I'm also having trouble getting IP to load...........it takes forever..!! Firefox also warn me the connection is not secure..........which is a bit worrying..!!

i didn't set up the selfie, Keith, my walking companion did. A bit cruel really, but I thought I'd make you all smile. Firefox does not like the Ipernity set-up at all. It strongly suggests that the web setter should change the the http to an https site. I have given William that info - it might be useful for the IMA.
