Hello Flickr Friends,

There are so many of you today wanting at the same time to move to ipernity, import your thousands of photos and organise them.

The problems that you may encounter (the site being slower than usual, impossible to create albums, adding photos to groups etc.) are due to this exceptional situation.

In general the actions you have requested do not take effect immediately but a few minutes later.

We are doing our best to regulate this exceptional influx.

There is no need to contact us about this.

We are counting on your understanding and indulgence and apologies for any inconvenience this might cause.

The Account of Martin Williamson was allready inactive. And you can clearly delete this photo out of albums and groups cause you can´t even click or activate it cause of the suspended account.

Thanks ... for the timely and straight forward update ... good luck with the fix during this massive exodus from Flickr ... BTW, I really enjoy this site ... for me anyway, it is better than the old and new Flickr ... as I did not use all the features there!!

Je suis arrivée à supprimer les pubs qui apparaissaient chaque fois que j'ouvrais une page .......des pubs..un peu ....Hot ... même très Hot lol

its a pain i've got 50,000 pics to upload now stuffed because of martin williamson thumbnail appearing in any new album i try to make and the pics don't appear. i'll try again later me thinks

I'd like to add my voice to the comments; just created a couple of albums and all them contain the Martin Wiliamson picture and nothing else. I've deleted them and will try again later. Not sure if it's malicious or just a glitch in the overloaded system.

C'est vrai qu'il aurait fallu leur expliquer ..de ne mettre les photos que progressivement .....
c'est vraiment bien d'avoir tout d'un coup ...tant de superbes photos à voir ........mais c'est trop pour le système ....!!!

Thanks for the update. No problem moving 2 "chunks" from Flickr. However, the layout of my homepage doesn't change if I alter it and then "save." But, after your notification about the upsurge in Ipernity traffic, I'll hold on and see if it works later. Bravo, Ipernity team.

just noticed the one 'virulent' picture of M. Williamson appearing in the moderation queue of one of my groups... I could delete it without further problems...
perhaps it would be a solution to set all groups on 'moderate submission' till this issue is taken care of.

Can't add to groups or sets at all...just nothing.
I'll log off now and won't touch"ipernity" for about a week, hoping this mess is over after a week.

I am sure that it'll make it easier for the Ipernity team to solve problems if we take our photos from Flicker not in 1000-packs but in groups with more reasonable amount of photos; and a little slower. And for us it is an opportunity to build, organize, eliminate, create many things from the scratch too. This site is nice and will be wonderful if we help them to help us.

You poor staff members must be overwhelmed, but rather a nice way to be overwhelmed, I would think. All of sudden you site which was rather quiet and peaceful seems to have become THE alternative to Flickr. Thanks for the quick responses, the good work and for all you are doing to deal with this flood.

I really do feel for the "Magnificent 7" ipernity team. They are doing their best and we probably should have anticipated some glitches with the influx of ex-Flickr members (of which, I am one!).

I was wondering how their servers were coping.

I am really enjoying ipernity and will be patient. Rome was not built in a day! :-)

oh~oh oops, I bi**hed at that martin guy... sorry if you read this Martin! I do feel sorry for you Ipernity guys~girls, we all just kinda fell in here at once with no warning....I think most people here moved away from Flickr Ave. So stop reading this and get to work! :-) of course we are patient and understanding.. I hope! I feel like you are 'listening and doing the best you can' in an unfortunately bad situation..

There are also problems for old members. Uploading photos to new albums fails every time, the Photos appear in the strip, but not in the album, the Album is given a cover photo that is not mine, nor did I upload it.

2 1/2 hours and the pics still ain't up there a bit longer than i expected as the previous bunch was 45 minutes at that rate its gonna take over a year to get up whats on flickr without what will be taken this year. not happy. looks like i'm gonna have to leave the comp on over night. i expected it to take a while but 2 1/2 hours with 10% still to go. much more of these sort of times and i may have to reconsider, i expected about an hour.

i am having problems for two days now, it keeps asking me to update GreaseMonkey... i did it several times, restarted my computer etc. ... no way ...
lots of photos seems to be "lost in translation" ; what could i do ?
i begin to think it might be Flickr making it hard for us to tranfer our pics ...
