Dear members of ipernity!
If e-mails sent by ipernity do not arrive, it is because they get caught in the spam filters of the receiving e-mail providers.
These always first monitor whether the sender's IP address is on a public blacklist. A check of the ipernity domain 217.70.184.38 using the mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx tool has shown that ipernity is not included in any of those blacklists. Mails from ipernity will therefore always arrive at your mail provider.
But mail providers also apply additional filtering measures. This can lead to mails from ipernity ending up in your spam folder even though ipernity is not listed as suspicious. To remedy this, you can whitelist team@ipernity.com and no_reply_please@ipernity.com in your mail account settings. With some providers you can also set the option "Do not treat contacts in your address book as spam". In such cases it is advisable to set up the two e-mail addresses mentioned as your contacts.
The setting methods for this differ from provider to provider. Therefore we can only give the general instruction that you can usually find them in the setting options of your mail box.
If this is unsuccessful, you can try asking your mail provider's hotline for help. Unfortunately we cannot do this for you, because we are not the owners of your account. In most cases, however, it is more promising to use a Google Mail or Yahoo account rather than the GMX or Hotmail which are known to be critical.
Your ima team

Please test and give feedback, folks.

So, to test this requires that you have set something to notice about via email.

3) What email provider you are using (Hotmail, Google, ...)?
4) Have you tried adding ipernity.com onto whitelist?

4) Thunderbird hasn't a whitelist
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Jaap van 't Veen clubThunderbird is a software. Via what email provider your email has been delivered?
EDIT: In other words, what is after @ sign on your email address? Mine is @gmail.com

One of the reasons for this is when several recipients move serious mails to the spam folder out of convenience instead of correctly unsubscribing them. The providers then also put serious senders on an internal spam list.
You would have to try whether the remedy proposed by us via the whitelist would help you. However, this whitelist is not run by Thunderbird, but by your real mail operator. If not, please contact KPN directly.
Jaap van 't Veen club has replied to Team clubLet's wait what will happen Monday.
Thank you for the help.
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Jaap van 't Veen clubFor example in case of Gmail, one has to visit: mail.google.com
Then on email account settings one should find settings also for editing the whitelist.
EDIT. How to whitelist at Gmail:

Karen's Place club has replied to Sami Serola (inactiv… clubAll my Ipernity email has been going into my Spam Folder lately. I just "whitelisted" Ipernity with your helpful instructions so hopefully, that will fix the problem!
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to DOMCHO clubEDIT: May work also on other email services. Search the inbox for the last email received from ipernity, com. Then add the sender (iperntiy.com) to your contacts. This probably and hopefully adds ipernity to the whitelist and also keeps it there in the future.
raingirl club has replied to DOMCHO clubI'm going to use this for other people I expect e-mails from as well.
bonne soirée

raingirl club has replied to Roger (Grisly) clubraingirl club has replied to HappySnapperWe are discussing here receiving e-mails from ipernity, not using ipernity or it's internal mail system (though if you have it set to do so, ipernity sends the internal e-mails to your regular e-mail account).
1) So if you receive all th e-mails you want you can ignore this and continue to carry on.
2) If you are having difficulties, you don't have to have an e-mail to work with. You can
A - go to your e-mail service provider and add this e-mail address to your contacts list: no_reply_please@ipernity.com
B - add to the information about that e-mail, the website: www.ipernity.com
Team club has replied to HappySnapperIpernity is safe as always. Only the transmission of public content is not encrypted. What is the point? It is public anyway.
Pesonal data, on the other hand, is encrypted. So there is no security risk. The message is simply wrong.
It should be: This website is transmitted unencrypted.
For example seths.blog/2018/01/an-open-note-to-google
Team club has replied to Frank J CasellaSensitively adjusted provider software suspects that our IP address would produce spam as the number of such transfers to the spam folder increases. Therefore, at a certain point it puts all mails from ipernity on a grey list.
The only way to change this is to take the measures described above and complain to the providers if this does not help.
the problem is somewhat different.
In my settings I told ipernity to send my an email when receiving a new text message (not a new comment).
It worked rather well for four years (with sometimes a single outlier).
Then it didn't work at all for two weeks or so.
and from today it seems to work again.....
Well, here we are with the translation from DeepL homepage:
I have now entered the two addresses from above into the whitelist of my provider and additionally, as DOMCHO suggests, ipernity.com into the address book.
Hopefully I have now "told" EVERYONE (ipernity, provider, email client on the computer) that messages from there are desired!
My question is: does this also cover requests to the group administrator when pictures are to be added to the group?
These are the notifications I need most!
Translated with www.deepl.com/Translator (free version) ... ja ja ja, I mentioned it already ... ;-)
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Leon_Vienna clubHowever, turned out it was not enough what DOMCHO adviced.
I discovered many emails sent by no_reply_please@ipernity.com in my SPAMbox. Why some of the notifications still arrived to INBOX is a mystery.
Therefore I strongly advice to apply email filters to make sure that email from ipernity does not end up to SPAMbox.
For example see instructions for Gmail: support.google.com/mail/answer/6579
Leon_Vienna club has replied to Sami Serola (inactiv… clubSami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Leon_Vienna clubwww.ipernity.com/group/2377690/admin/notification
And have you also enabled notifications on your ipernity account settings?
www.ipernity.com/pref/notification
Then what comes to SPAMbox, each email provider may have their own ways to deal with blacklisted emails. Some may move them to TRASHbox, some may delete them immediately. By setting filters you can only change what will happen from now on.
Leon_Vienna club has replied to Sami Serola (inactiv… club(not depending on group-admin, only became one in September)
For the moment: garden is waiting ...
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Leon_Vienna clubNow I found this for Gmail:
support.google.com/mail/thread/7265417?hl=en
Looks like I have to "teach" Gmail to treat some messages properly. I then had to remove the filter I created previously, and now try to find time every day to tell Gmail that those messages received from ipernity are not SPAM.
I hope you will find a better solution for the email service that you are using.
So, we are truly living in a "self service society"! =,D
It is not that the software at the ipernity end has changed. It seems that either the spam filters have become more critical, or we have been grey listed for whatever reasons by some email providers.
Leon_Vienna club has replied to Rob Stamp clubsupport.gmx.com/email/spam-and-viruses/whitelist-manage.html
We are currently investigating the reasons for the rejected mails, which are all available in our no-reply folder.
"Die Arbeiter der Deutschen Bundespost gelten . . . im strafrechtlichen Sinne als Beamte. Ein Arbeiter wird daher mit einer Freiheitsstrafe nicht unter 3 Monaten betsraft, wenn er . . . Postsendungen dem ordnungsgemäßen Postverkehr . . . entzieht."
Die Auswahl, was ich als Spam betrachte, kann man getrost mir überlassen. Ich brauche all diese wohlgemeinten Bevormundungen nicht, die nur zu Problemen führen, wie man sieht.
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Annalia S. clubEdit: So, I need to re-educate Gmail some more.
Bergfex club has replied to Frank J CasellaMy problem is that absolutely nothing arrives! As I wrote above: nowhere! Not in the Spambox, not in the Trashbox, certainly not in the inbox. And this when entering via the provider page (gmx.at).
So I cannot "train" them at all, because there is nothing to train.
Ipernity news came regularly until about March, then only sporadically and since about summer not at all.
I created this account especially for Ipernity and apart from a photoblog (whose messages all arrive clean) nothing else is linked to this account.
Translated with www.deepl.com/Translator (free version)
Ik zie ook bij mijn contacten geen nieuwe foto,s meer verschijnen.
Er moet dus wel iets verkeerd gaan.
Hartelijke groeten. Frans.
