Dear members and friends of ipernity!
1) In order to better inform incidental visitors from the web that ipernity is a non-commercial community and thus different from most other photo sharing platforms, we have changed the information text on the login page.
2) In addition, we have finally implemented the long-awaited donation button. We would appreciate it if you would make use of it, so that the various wishes for the further development of our website can be realized earlier.
3) Since good winter pictures for the homepage were handed in later, this was updated again. We would like to thank all of you who enrich the homepage with attractive pictures and who take photos especially for it.
4) For previous Flickr users, who want to migrate to ipernity, Tobias Bauer has written an easy to understand guide on how to easily move your images and albums to ipernity (English version here).
5) To ensure that direct emails from ipernity reach you, we recommend that you add the following ipernity email addresses to the white list of your spam filter:
---> ipernity.marketing@gmail.com
---> ipernity@gmail.com
---> team@ipernity.com
(Our latest direct mail has only been opened by 35% of the members so far. Probably many mails got stuck in the spam filters.)
And thus the ima team would like to thank everyone who helped to advance this unique project in 2018, as well as those who simply enjoy the fact that ipernity exists and enrich it with their contributions.
We wish you a Merry Christmas.
Your ima team

---> ipernity.marketing@gmail.com
---> ipernity@gmail.com
---> team@ipernity.com.

---> ipernity.marketing@gmail.com
---> ipernity@gmail.com
---> team@ipernity.com
Euer ima-Team
2019-01-01 Bonne Année !

I wish all those who keep the project running and the "connoisseurs" happy holidays and a healthy and successful year 2019 with lots of health and sufficient light in front of the lens.
** So exciting to have a donate button!!!! thank you.
fyi - you might want to add a link in this message to the donate button. i had a very hard time finding it. finally when i logged out, i saw it on the login page. normally i stay logged in and never see that page. also since it isn't on the homepage i was giving up finding it. luckily, there is was on the login page:
www.ipernity.com/login.php
i've donated! Merry Christmas! the system worked from my end (it was interesting that the donation was in euros - but that wasn't a problem, just a small extra expense for money transfer - it would either be me having to pay that expense or people from other countries if it was in US dollars - so i'm fine with it).
can you let me know that it arrived safely with the ima? just since this is brand new (i'm sure you've tested, but i'm still curious if it's possible for you to let me know). a private message might be good.
** and i just discovered the e-mail from ima in my spam folder. i am now adding the list you have here to my contacts.
** great idea to add the non-commercial aspect to the login page
What a great ending to the year. The whole ipernity experience warms my heart and delights my artistic soul.
Thank you so much ima team for all the work you have done the last year. It is just amazing and I'm proud to be a (Club) member of this community. Wishing you and all Ipernity members a Merry Christmas and a Happy and healthy 2019.
Team club has replied to Jaap van 't Veen clubAs spokesman for the ima team, I have to admit: Nobody had the idea to indicate the ima bank account again. Because after all, access to the ima bank account has been common knowledge for a long time.
Moreover, if anybody hasn't noted down the bank account data: They are easily to be found by the ipernity search function, too. Just type in: "bank account", "compte bancaire" or "Bankkonto". Then "IMA Payment Options & Bank Account" will appear immediately as one of ima's articles. Even the Dutch "bankrekening" will deliver a positive result, as well as Italian, Spanish or Portuguese terms.

Confusion maybe because the search criteria "Ipernity.com" brings up the Ipernity news and sign in front page which does not show a donate button.
raingirl club has replied to HappySnapperJaap van 't Veen club has replied to HappySnapperTeam club has replied to raingirl clubThe ima team is in Christmas mode. Family, friends, we ourselves (smile...) are the most important thing in our lives these days. But we are present and also read in between. We are happy about the feedback and draw strength for the next year through some distance, which we are convinced will be good. Otherwise we would not hang ourselves so in front of the carts.
Concerning donations: Since ipernity is officially registered in France, the accounts run through "l'Association des Membres d'Ipernity" and are of course in EUR, because France is a member of the Euro zone. (But thanks to Eric and Rob's efforts - and Qwellcodes help - the donate button is offered in the 7 main languages after all.) When setting up the donation button, we naturally carried out all the necessary tests. Normally you should get a confirmation from PAYPAL that looks similar: www.ipernity.com/doc/team/47891846 (Sorry, that's German. It was a test run, done by myself.)
As soon as someone from the ima team with authorization for the PAYPAL account has time, we of course look at the donations and report about them.
Concerning log in/log out: I know it's convenient to stay logged in to Internet sites. Where there are no security risks (weather forecast, daily newspaper, etc.), I do the same. On the other hand I never do that with my bank accounts - and even my mail provider logs me out after some time of inactivity. (Especially because of dynamic IP address management.)
In the case of ipernity there is another reason to log out/in time by time: The info panel on the registration page is - apart from the newsflash - the only way that we, the ima team, can contact you promptly. So if you're interested in what's going on, you can keep both channels up to date.
Merry Christmas!

Team club has replied to Jaap van 't Veen clubThat you miss all the wonderful photos that were submitted by dedicated Iperians especially for the Frontpage is still the smallest problem. But you'll also miss out on all the latest news on the info panel that's been set up just for your quick information!
Bernhard (ima)
Jaap van 't Veen club has replied to Team club- I'm quite sure that I don't miss that images, as I have a look at the new uploads a couple of times a day.
- For me it doesn't make sense to log-ou, log-in, log-out, log-in .... a couple of times a day.
The official Newsflash is for me the source for ima/ipernity news.
Bergfex club has replied to Jaap van 't Veen clubNur sag mir mal: Wie soll man Leute erreichen, die weder ihre Mails öffnen, noch den Newsflash lesen, noch die Startseite aufrufen?

Sorry, please explain "white list of your spam filter". I have never heard of a white list / spam filter.
I don't know how important this is for the future success of my involvement in this site, but if it is important, please explain what it means!
Thank you!
Team club has replied to Andy Rodker clubNo problem and gladly! Basically it's about explicitly telling your e-mail provider not to sort out mails from certain addresses as spam-suspicious, but to let them pass unhindered into your mailbox.
But before I write everything down myself and possibly forget something important: There are very good articles on the web, like this one: www.simpleminds.com/how-to-check-your-spam-filter-and-whitelist-emails Just as described in the article for another organization, it works for the specified ipernity mail addresses as well.

Andy Rodker club has replied to Team clubI will read this with interest.
Just remains for me to thank you and all the ima team for the fabulous work you have all put in to contribute to the continuing excellence of ipernity, and I would like to wish you all a wonderful festive season and a successful and happy New Year!
Andy
Danke für Euer Engangement.

BONNE ANNEE - HAPPY NEWYEAR - FROHES NEUJAHR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Team club has replied to ValfalBest wishes to ipernity and all members!
