Dear members and friends of ipernity!

Some of you may have noticed that membership renewals via Skrill are not possible any more. We tried everything to keep this payment option. However on 3 January 2018 Skrill made the decision to terminate services with IMA without notice or reason. We believe the decision was made because of volume requirements. It is common that other customers of Skrill suffered the same inconveniences.

We are now exploring possible alternatives and their feasibility. A decision to implement an alternative will depend on required software coding and related costs to implement it.

In the meantime, regardless if an alternative is adopted, you have three options to make payments: Paypal, Credit or Debit/Bank cards. To access the Credit and Debit/Bank Card options, you will need to click on the Paypal option on the main screen. Afterwards you can then click on the Credit and Debit/Bank card option on the bottom of the next screen. (A little bit confusing perhaps, but workable.) We hope this will help for now until we can find other alternatives and determine if they are feasible to implement.

Chers membres et amis d'ipernity !

Ces derniers jours certains d'entre vous ont constaté que les renouvellements de cotisations via le service de paiement Skrill étaient impossibles. Nous avons tout essayé pour réactiver ce service de paiement. Mais le 3 janvier 2018, Skrill a pris la décision de mettre fin au service pour l'ima sans avertissement ni justification. Nous pensons que la décision a été prise en raison d'exigences de volume. D'autres clients de Skrill ont subi le même désagrément.

Nous sommes en train d'examiner des alternatives et leur faisabilité. La décision dépendra, entre autres, de l'ampleur du changement requis dans le logiciel et des coûts impliqués.

En attendant cette alternative, il existe actuellement trois options de paiement : Paypal, carte de crédit ou virement bancaire. Pour accéder à ces options, vous devez d'abord cliquer sur l'option Paypal. Dans la boîte de dialogue qui s'ouvre, vous avez la possibilité de sélectionner votre carte de crédit et/ou un virement bancaire, en plus de payer via un compte Paypal. C'est un peu déroutant, peut-être, mais ça marche !

Inzwischen werden einige bemerkt haben, dass Abo-Verlängerungen über den Bezahldienst Skrill seit ein paar Tagen nicht mehr möglich sind. Wir haben alles versucht, den Bezahldienst wieder zu aktivieren. Aber am 3. January 2018 hat Skrill die Entscheidung getroffen, den Service für ima ohne Vorwarnung zu beenden. Wir vermuten, dass das geringe Umsatzvolumen der Grund ist. Es ist bekannt, dass andere Skrill-Kunden die gleichen Unannehmlichkeiten hatten.

Wir prüfen nun verschiedene Alternativen auf Realisierbarkeit. Die Entscheidung wird unter anderem davon abhängen, welcher Änderungsaufwand in der Software notig ist, und wie hoch die Kosten dafür sind.

Unabhängig davon, welcher Bezahldienst uns zukünftig unterstützen wird, gibt es derzeit noch drei Bezahlmöglichkeiten: Paypal, Kreditkarte oder Banküberweisung. Um zu den letzteren Optionen zu gelangen, muss man zunächst die Paypal-Option anklicken. In dem sich öffnenden Dialog sind dann außer Paypal auch Kreditkarten und/oder Banküberweisung wählbar. (Etwas verwirrend vielleicht, aber es funktioniert!)
