The replies are really satisfying for IMA and they are officially finalizing their offer.
We will let you know more about the project of IMA, as soon as possible (and before February 12).

First, you say over 900 people responded favourably, but can you quantify that in any way in terms of what they have said in response to specific questions, percentages of votes cast etc. at this stage?
Second, you've re-posted a link to the survey document so does that mean people who have not yet completed it can still do so and if they can what is the actual final cut off point for people to respond?
Many thanks! :)

It appears from comments in several blogs members have complained they never received the survey. The survey was posted on the news page far to late and only for a few days. Not long enough time to give all members access to the survey.
Some Members did missed the survey because they were not on the internet for several reasons Example people away on holidays in area with no internet access. Ip you have made a total disaster when it came to contact All members by email (even if you had to do it in small batches to prevent Spam Alerts)

The link above docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd6seHpaFHBCwoypXg6SyzywEm8KgDoxDlp6ZNKvqMh2XK13w/viewform
is useless because when you click on supply your web ID the message says access in denied.

So it is to late for this survey to continue to be of any value unless you extend the time frame for members to access this survey and fix the Access Denied problem.
autofantasia club has replied to Treasa Ui CionaodhaMore worrying for me was the fact that I was able to complete the entire survey and submit it even though I'd already done this a few days ago, which seems odd. Who ever pulls together the stats for this survey is therefore going o need to check carefully for duplications.
Treasa Ui Cionaodha has replied to autofantasia clubfile:///C:/Users/Sal/Favorites/Downloads/ipernity_%20Page%20not%20found.html
So again is this some sort of glitch that allows some to access and not others. Maybe a little like the Buddy Icon going missing on some but not all. Very strange things going on on IP>
And yes you are so right for those who can access the suvey and have already fill it in duplication will be a problem.
It worked for me, so the IMA survey is open for further answers.

I suppose we will know when the money is collected. It seems premature to declare it's over just yet.
I am willing to gamble that the platform will survive with my money and the money of lots of people like me. You can be sure, it is not money that I depend on for my next meal. I am not suggesting anyone starve to contribute -- as with all gambling, you put up only what you can afford to lose. Because I am lucky to be able to put up my share, and maybe slightly more, if it comes to that, and because the site means so much to me, I'm there.
Pam J club has replied to Smiley Derleth clubI'm glad you guys find something useful in a survey which, technically, isn't even statistically significant --- a poll pool of 100,000 would've needed thousands of responses.
I hope the IMA folks have a better plan than just throwing money at the situation!

OTOH the IP team initially said they'd need another 3000 paying members to reach equilibrium.
Even it this figure of +3000 may have been exagerated, the fact that most of the 900 replies will have accepted to pay more (say, the double) means we have found the equivalent of 500 new members.
In other words : we are far from halfway through.
But we are probably close to being able to maintain the site as is, a minima, till the end of this year.
It is not a good show, rather amateurish, I think.
All this, it seems, is not compatible with a planned solid budget ... , sorry.
My compliments.
Jose
Treasa Ui Cionaodha has replied to J. Gafarot clubIs there a way to keep this textual information or does the "download" only save the photographs? There's no data in the image itself. I'm not the most tech savvy person out there.
Smiley Derleth club has replied to LaurieAnnie clubIf you have any developer friends, coworkers or associates, perhaps they will help.
Fizgig has replied to LaurieAnnie clubThe short answer is "no"....
I'll tell you what I recommend to my clients..... If the data you post with certain photos is important, create a spreadsheet file with the name of your subject --- in your case the artwork piece --- and add the data into the second column. I do this with many of the pieces I post as well --- primarily architectural themed shots... My spreadsheet has 3 columns : building name, address, and pertinent info. Come to think of it, I have a similar sheet for my artwork pieces. I realized it's a pain to go through it all now and deal with it, but it may not be as daunting as you think --- I see/saw, in a cursory glance, that many of the art pieces you photographed have multiple shots. So if you do a spreadsheet, you can have all info. for that piece in one spot rather than having to input it for each file individually. Trust me, I know it's a chore --- I went through my photo collection here which spanned over 6,000 images at the time. It seemed daunting, but once I got the sheets set up and a method going, it actually didn't take me all that long. Just an idea for you.... Going forward, you can also look into programs that allow you to edit the EXIF data on photos to add whatever info. you want. Or, as some of my clients do, add the info. to photos via Photoshop.... Some even save two versions of their photos; one at high res. for upload or prints, etc., and one lower res. with pertinent text included. I personally find the spreadsheet/table documents the better way to go as they're less work and more easily searchable. Plus, photo files often get corrupted in the process of being moved around or uploaded, etc., with significant data losses. Having the pertinent info. in a separate file & type is a better way to backup the text data, IME.
Probably not what you want to hear at this time with the site in the condition that it's in, but there you have it.... Hope it's helpful in some way.
Sorry... but not making a funeral where.. AT THE MOMENT.. there isnt one.
Life is hard enough as it is.
THANKYOU TEAM.. and THANKYOU IMA...
And.. all links work for me.. and all my pics are as they should be where they should be.. so hoping that whatever affected others was just a hiccup.
Stormlizard club has replied to Pam J clubSeit gestern ist einiges durcheinander - nicht nur bei mir, sondern auc bei anderen IP-Mitgliedern, mit denen ich in Kontakt bin.
Ist das der Anfang vom (technischen) Ende?
.
There are things going on "behind the scenes" regarding other matters.
Roger (Grisly) club has replied to StoneRoad2013 clubGood things to do -
Accept the position as it is, even though it is not welcome.
Be appreciative of what members are doing to save Ipernity.
Try to fill in the questionnaire if you have not already done so.
Be patient and do not expect a running commentary on the negotiations.
Think positively and even expect that Ipernity will continue.
Things to avoid -
Complaining about problems of the past.
Criticising shortcomings in the outreach now - people are doing the best they can.
Criticising the present owners of Ipernity, no matter what they have or have not done in the past.
Attacking Ipernity for incidental technical problems.
Leaving and slamming the door - everyone will be harmed.
This is just my considered approach - it might appeal to others ....

Looking very promising.
I also wondered - probably way too late - if anyone approached a place like shutterfly. They currently offer storage and really un-user friendly ways of sharing photos with family. Don't even know if they have comments. But I would think that a place that has product to sell - photo product - might do well to incorporate a good setup that keeps people engaged and close to their offerings. This would of course be a second choise to the way it is now, but just wanted to put it out there.
ୱ Kiezkickerde ( ͡°… club has replied to raingirl clubOf course. Several times, and did that already several years before all these things happening and as the team mentonied sometimes "we are just 5 guys so developement needs some time" that this might be a possible solution to get more power into developening.
I added several times I would love it to supply some snipplets of code for small functions and improvements which I would love to see and asked because of that if they would like to change ipernity into collaborative project, but haven´t got any response about that - well - of course.
F.e. switching to open streetmap instead of google for geotagging your photos or something like that - which would be - relatively - easy to implement and also it would be cool to support open projects instead of the big google - additionally the maps are commonly more accurate (at least in my area).
But as the team at least responded...
We wait with bated breath and everything crossed.

The real cost of flickr is tons of views with no comments, hundreds of zombie groups that people post to, for what??, and, as one return flickrer said, thousands who see the site as a big catalog to browse and steal other people's stuff. --No community, and the worst thing about the internet, in other words.

Good morning/afternoon,
We are still in discussions with Ipernity S.A. re: the future of this site and its transfer. Negotiations are ongoing to protect the best interests of the members. At the same time we are investigating crowdfunding options so we can take the next step when negotiations are concluded.
