[EN] The World Photography Festival (April 22-27, Cannes, France) is proud to open its doors to the public this year, offering tickets to the annual photographic showcase and prize ceremony on sale to everyone.

The showcase will be presented inside the Grand Lumière Theatre of the majestic Palais des Festivals and will deliver a visual journey through many diverse genres of photography. You'll be able to attend the Sony World Photography Awards Ceremony, on April 22nd, and much more events taking place during the 2010 World Photography Festival.

  • "Lines", a chronological view of artist Idris Kahn's artwork,
  • Panos Pictures Agency Seminar, "Better than the rest", led by Adrian Evans, offering an insight into the professional world of photography,
  • "Fast portraiture, interaction with the subject", where photographer Adrian Boot delves into the challenging craft of portraiture photography,
  • Photography NOW, a symposium featuring an expert panel of industry professionals to discuss and present the current topics, trends, dilemna and debates concerning the world photography today.

You will also be given the opportunity to have your portfolio reviewed by some of the top industry leaders.

Spectacular indoor and outdoor exhibitions will be presented this year for all to see at no cost:

  • The 2010 Professional & Amateur Winners Exhibition,
  • Student Focus Award: a collection of photographs taken by students around the globe and depicting the the 2010 Student Focus theme ‘War & Peace’,
  • UNICEF: a Photo Pledge for Children’s Rights,
  • The Sony Campaign Award: the second annual award especially created by Sony and blending the energy of football with a passion for photography,
  • The ipernity 2010 photo exhibition,
  • The Lifetime Achievement Award.
