Let me know what do you think about QtPfsGUI operators.
This is one of the three original bracketed shots:
"Sunset (RawStudio output)" by Roberto Ballerini // HAL9000 [?]
and these are four different tonemappings obtained from an HDR composition of the bracketed shots:
NOTE: there are shadows due to movements between the bracketed shots: I haven't used a tripod and I slightly moved.
My personal opinion is: the two upper variations seems more a painting than a shot (perhaps a nice idea for a fabric for pillowcases ;-) ); the two lower are more natural and perhaps they would have been better shots if I haven't moved the camera.
As a side note: I saw a fantastic sunset behind mountains and clouds and I wanted to make an HDR; but looking through the camera, I was amazed by the light and forgot to take 3 shots; so I started again, but the 2GB CF was full; so I deleted the old two shots, but when I returned to the viewer, the light had changed :-( So a lesson for me: never delete a good shot in the hope of making a better one :-))
