Well .... yesterday was a Vet visit for Nerys . Just meant to be a quick check over and hello.
It was not quite that easy !
I managed to get Nerys in the car(she is afraid of the car as she thinks it will take her away again. But we have been practicing.)
Got to the Vets.. she got out the car and I always take the doggy over the road for a wee. She crossed the road and refused to come back. You cannot tempt her.. or move her.
Had to get Jay to drive the car over the road and thankfully she got in.
Then went back to the Vets car park.. and she wouldnt get out. Nothing I tried could make her.
Went into the Vets and they were in tears laughing ! They had been watching ! My Vet is a huge man.. but we knew it was the part time Vet we would be seeing as Aaron was away today and tomorrow.
So .. Amy the part time Vet is tiny... and bless her she came out to the car got in the back and did the exam !!! I had taken all Nerys's vet paperwork with me and she didnt need any shots etc. This was just a check over and say hello. It was chaos.. but they saved the day.
Nerys has a little infection in her left ear.. but have got earwash and meds for it. It was a minor thing !
I feel as if someone has run me over with a tank !!
Tell me this will all be but a dim memory one day !!
Then......... today was the Vet visit with Celt and Saxon !
Took Celt and Saxon to the Vets in a big box with a towel in it and sat on the back seat with them. After the first couple of miles they were asleep !
Perfect at the vets.. no drama totally able to be handled (been working on that) They are probably 8-10 weeks as thought but we are settling on 8 weeks from today (so their birthday will be 1st December. It makes it easier to work out the injections schedule etc).
Celt the hound type 8.6 lbs and Saxon the Lab type is 10.6 lbs. The Vet also agrees with Labrador x Hound. They are now chipped and registered . First round of puppy shots had.. next round on 23rd Feb. Have also 2 oral syringes with 3 daily wormer doses for each of them to give them .They are in good health and no bugs. They slept most of the way home !
Tomorrow the fun begins as we can move the crate and them into the house as they have the first round of shots !
Nerys is being amazing with them
In other news ......
I am sorry I am so far behind with commenting. I am doing the Ipernity work (Spam /Moderation/Help and Contact) as normal... but I am just running out of time for so much else and that is still not going to bed before about 3am !
Tomorrow the chaos begins with the pups in.
Forgive me folks.. I am not ignoring you !
I have also pulled a major muscle in my back and am eating Tramadol sandwiches every 4 hours just to function in an upright position !!
Life is good.. today was my Wedding Anniversay ! We celebrated with a milk shake on the way home !!
Greetings from the Tribe of Many Paws !
Edit to Add 2nd February
Seems it is not a pulled muscle but a regression of serious spinal trouble. It happens from time to time as I have joints problems . This is not a good time with the pups being so needy and it isnt getting better. Just a little scary and worrying.
All will be well.
Nerys and Celt and Saxon are fine.. but today ... just like human babies... no matter it wasn't right for the pups ! All WILL be well !!!!!!

Pam J club has replied to Stormlizard clubBut it isnt the Vet.. its the car per se. We are her 8th stop. She is simply scared that she is being moved on yet again.
Its just time and I will be working on it. It will be ok . She actually travels very well so that helps.
Stormlizard club has replied to Pam J clubPam J club has replied to Marja SavonijeI dont have 50 years but about 45 years. !
Yes.. doing all those things. It was a major victory getting her in the car to collect her from Texas to get her here to Oklahoma... then I worked with treats and just sitting and all the gentle ways for 10 days .. and she got in the car for the Vets well.
I guessed it would set things back.. but that is ok.. we have plenty of time now to do the trips out and back and nice things to happen.
Pyrs are pretty much a law unto themselves. They are very stubborn as they have to work alone for months at a time. She was a pasture dog for the first 11mths of her life.
My Flicka was a Blue Heeler.. a cattle dog..and they have wills of steel too.. you have to have when you are bred to herd 5000 head of cattle !
Previously I had a GSD of working strain... and a GWP and Setters as I was a falconer for 20+ years.
I never seem to pick easy dogs !!! Or I should say the dogs with determination pick this stubborn red headed Englishwoman to rescue !
They will train me well enough in their own time !! :)))
Like you said -- time --
Give them all huggzz from North Carolina ~
Pam -- you have a book in the making -- be sure you keep The Tribe of Many Paws Journal up-to-date !
Pam J club has replied to Peggy C clubHugsssssssssssssssssssssssss
Pam J club has replied to Mickey fezGlad to have brought some joy !
So good that things are going well for you and your Tribe, despite the teething problems. You manage those difficulties very well, and you write such a good story about it-- I enjoyed reading every word. I agree fully with what Peggy said (about having a book in the making). I'll keep watching this space :)
Best of luck to you and your tribe.
Pam J club has replied to micritterI'll work on it !
Pam J club has replied to Cheryl Kelly (cher12… cluband there the dog started to scream; -))) as if he had received a syringe or something terrible: -)))
Only with some effort I was able to calm him down, but he was shaking all over his body.
My best wihes for you
Pam J club has replied to aNNa schramm clubOh I know that kind of scream !!!!
Belated Congratulations on your anniversary ... best wishes to you and Jay.
Hopefully you can get that back under control quickly. Know first hand what that is like ... definitely not fun.
Do take care of yourself and fully understand your limited time line. Hugs to you and your tribe! xxx

Pam J club has replied to sasithorn_sAs for you now you take care of yourself as you are the important clog in the wheel.
I fully understand as a lot of people on here, that you can't comment & give your time, you have a lot to contend with Pam, we will still be here !!!
Hugssssssssssss to you & all your family
Can't tell that I didn't laugh ... (it's because of your way to tell the story ! (:o)), BUT I know how it was for you, and I am sure that you weren't laughing at all then ...
Wonder how the three ones are living together now ... Are they playing a lot in the house ? Marco and Kenza are used to.
A belated HAPPY ANNIVERSARY for you and Jay, my dear friend.
Big hugs to you all.
Pam J club has replied to Christiane ♥.•*¨`*•✿They get on well together. They have very high energy levels and I take them out a lot and we walk and play. Today has been hard as nothing seemed to be satifying for them. Just like human babies ! It will all be ok.
Thankyou for the good wishes !
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Pam J club has replied to Amelia club.
And I hope the aches and pains go away as soon as possible.
.
Like the idiot I am, yesterday - as it seemed mild ie not frosty - I did some gardening and then went down to the workshop.
One of those was a bad move, as by bedtime my neuralgia was playing merry hell with my face. I did get some sleep ! Unfortunately, most pain-killers do not work on the neuralgia.
Huggsss for you and pats/strokes for the tribe
Sara
Pam J club has replied to StoneRoad2013 clubI feel for you !
Like the fool I am I tried to do a little yesterday as the house needed a cleaning. I tried to wash the floors.. just gently mind. I ended up on the floor in tears and in pain.
Like you I am drug immune. I dont have a good suggestion for you.. I DO send HUGSSSSSSS
I know you haven't got the time, but I am looking forward to the next installment!
All best wishes,
Andy
Pam J club has replied to Andy Rodker clubThe pups are really hard work right now but it will settle down. Nerys is great ! There will be more adventures to come !
A carrot and hug from your friends Rabbit and M xxx
Pam J club has replied to RabbitroundtheworldI did what any decent soul would do.
If someone else had stepped up... but they didnt and I guess the Universe had a different plan for me. I just know that Flicka and Lucas and Cleo had paws in this.!
Meanwhile.. I am flat out exhausted .. the Sweethearts !
Pam J club has replied to Jenny McIntyre clubIsnt it amazing how they can expand and multiply their weight and limbs !
