Well it was a lovely day today and I was hoping for a trip out, but we had promised ourselves that we would start on changing my lounge around and so we had to make a hard decision and forego a trip out. The sun was out, so a good load of washing was put out to dry which is a wonderful thing, that's one of the things I just love about the warmer weather - apart from the ''warm'' part of the saying of course...............

So a large bowl of hot soapy water was called for to wipe down the paintwork which has been awkward to get at.

As you can see it was cluttered over there and I wanted to open up the area around the window so it would be nice to sit down on the couch in the sun............

It is so much tidier and all the plastic tubs that I don't need everyday, are put away in the other lounge. They were full of photographs which I've already scanned in, so they're safe. Little Ted still managed to get his spot on the couch and now he's in the sun too............

Then we turned to the opposite end of the room. Mandi had suggested we put the little bookcase ontop of the cabinet to ease up space. So she very kindly lifted it up but I've got to sort out the books and CD's to make it tidier but that'll come later.........

and now we've got rid of the pampas grass and various other things.......

This is what it looks like now, but there are many things I want to do to it yet - move the drinks down onto the shelves for a start and put the albums and some books into another cabinet...............

So at least it's started and it'll give me some motivation to carry on and get it tidied up and sorted. Good old Mandi ...... giving her old mum a helping hand.

Tomorrow we are going food shopping and then she's going back home for a few days or so. So I'll be able to pop over to your pages more often.
