This morning when I opened the back door this is what greeted me...........
I was really quite concerned - where was the carcass I asked myself.......... I did go out and about looking for a bald seagull. There was nothing. No feathers in the house, so I don't think Pippin is the culprit - I think the seagull took refuge in my porch and saw off the cat. Apparently there are two young cats just moved in next door - the other half of my house, so maybe they've come to introduce themselves.
Although Pippin does look sort of evil here, he's scared of seagulls and runs away from them, that's why I don't think he's the one to blame. Perhaps a fox, but there again no blood, so maybe not -
Well we've been given an amber warning for storms this weekend, although more likely towards late Sunday evening - Monday morning. So that should be fun - NOT!!! I've got lots of trees - need I say more?
This evening, however, I saw a lovely sight - pink clouds..........
Apparently where Mandi lives [about 50 miles away] she had horrendous rain and the roads were swimming, whereas you can see what kind of weather I've had. It's amazing how different the weather can be and yet still be close. So hopefully this awful storm with winds of up to 85mph may just miss me - yeah right!!!

We too had nice weather all day so Alex clipped the Hyben rose hedge and the Lilac bushes also took the rubbish to the dump. Before he left rain looked like falling soon and we are told the next three days will be stormy.
the sky loos nice and peaceful lovely snapshot
The weather folk can't make their minds up where the storm will hit but they did say very heavy rain to the north of it and very strong winds to the south so hope it stays south of you. I think we might get the rain but it is not expected the full storm will reach this far north
We've had some minor flooding here already and one road is a no go area but not too bad so far. Hopefully it will pass most of us by.
