Well I've had a whale of a time searching through my hundreds of files and found some pictures I'd forgotten about. So thanks Summer, I've just had a wonderful 3 hours!!!

Okay - to the theme - petite. It's meaning is short and sweet, a small female (the spelling gives it away!) of small stature, tiny boned and frame.

Now my family are not what you'd call petite as we women have been on the slightly tall side (my grandmother was almost 5ft 11inches!) but my Mum was very tiny (to us) she was all of 5ft 2ins.

This is her when she was in her twenties. She was very slim, small boned and only 5ft 2ins. So she was very petite..............

She stayed this way until she was in her late 70's.

My Aunty Faith was also what you would call petite, she always seemed to be rather delicate from how I remember her, but she wasn't really - she was a very strong woman....

This is Nikki, an ex-girlfriend of my brother. She was just under 5feet high and very small boned. So she was definitely petite...........

When Mandi was a teenager, she was very petite. She was around 5ft 3ins at that time, she's grown to 5ft 5ins now!!

This is my little Tippi - now she was such a sweet funny petite kitten. So loving and so affectionate....

When I found these early pictures of Tippi, I found some of Pippin. I was really shocked that he's 4 years old!!! I would have honestly said that he was only 2 years old - but the date on the camera doesn't lie.

Isn't he a cutie????
