Well as the title suggests, as it's so cold now - apart from you lot in the southern hemisphere - I thought it would be nice to see some pictures of sun and warm weather - just in case any of us had forgotten what it's like!!! LOL
So looking through my photos on here, I saw some gorgeous scenes of my first time in Turkey. If nothing else, this year has made me realise that I don't like being alone all the time. More importantly - I really miss my kids. I haven't seen Mandi since July 2019, and Tony since March 2020!!! As Mandi lives in a warm country and boy do I need the warmth - I think I'd be happier in Turkey. I'd share a house with Mandi and her hubby Dogan, because I need to know that there is someone close by. I still need my independance, but I am getting more wobbly on my feet and I can't go anywhere on my own, my car has given up the ghost, so I'm stuck indoors this year. I've decided though that when I do go to live there, that I'll have a sea view and our own swimming pool. I've got my eye on certain areas where there are houses with a sea view and gardens etc:
The view from up the top there is unbelievable - sea, islands and the Greek island of Kos (which is about 5 miles away)!!!
This is one of the many beaches, that is Kos in the background.
Now how could anyone NOT want to live there with those kind of views? I also love mountains, which luckily for me, that area is surrounded by mountains - so it's a win-win situation.
The joy of this area, is that at sunset, the islands look absolutely beautiful. It faces west too! This is a quick picture of the sun starting to set. Out there, being closer to the equator than here, the sun hardly takes any time to set, so you've got to be quick with the camera if you want to take pictures of the sunset!!!! Here in the south western part of England, the sunset takes about 45 mins to an hour to set, so there's plenty of time to move around and get different views of it.
Another wonderful addition to living over there are these amazing flowers. The bouganvillea is everywhere. This is the common colour, but it also comes in white, orange, dark red, purple and pale purple. I'd make sure I had loads of these flowers around my house - when they are against the white walls - absolutely beautiful.
Okay folks, time to stop the dreaming. I can't go this long without seeing my children again. At least if I move there, I'll be able to do more exercising by swimming every day, and the sun will help me so much as I need the warmth, and I'd see Mandi every day. If I lived near Tony - it would be in the city and the only view I'd have would be of other houses - no contest really!!!!
I hope you all have a good week and please stay safe. It's really not worth risking the lives of people by going out in groups - so please wear a mask, and stay the proper distance from others as recommended by the experts.
