Well yesterday afternoon I had to go to my doctor's surgery to have my leg redressed and it was a lovely sunny day. As I came out of the surgery quite lateish, I thought it would be a good idea to pop down to the beach/Burrows to get a sunset. So off I went - I started crossing the Burrows and could see that the sun was now setting behind the high hill behind me - and guess what? Those damn big clouds decided that as they hadn't been around all day - they should make an appearance just as the sun goes down and spoil the whole sunset!!!

So had to make do with the glow of the sun shining behind the clouds instead....

I don't know about you - but I can just make out the profile of Elvis in that cloud!!!

With the sun gone, it started to get really cold and so I tried to go home - the car had other ideas! Here I was in a car stuck on the Burrows, and it was getting dark. This lovely lady who had been walking her dogs, came over to my car and asked me if she could help at all. She even offered me her mobile to call the RAC (breakdown service), but I was determined to get the car started, so one last push and ignoring my leg protesting at the excessive force I was using (bearing in mind it had only been an hour since I'd had it redressed!). The car started again but with a lot of white smoke belching out.

No matter it was going and I was determined to keep it going. The lady said she'd follow me home to make sure I was okay - how nice is that? We breed lovely people down here! Well I managed to coax the car home - as long as I kept the rev counter going I was okay.

Needless to say - I got home alright but it's not something I would like to repeat.

Then this morning I got up very early (for the usual thing we oldies have to do at that time!!!!!!) and it was a fantastic sunrise - so of course I did the right thing, instead of going back to bed for the rest of my sleep, I took photos!!!!!

I then went back to bed and managed to drop off almost immediately. I'm lucky like that. Well the sunrise did as it was promised - it was a lovely day - at least until early afternoon anyway!!!! Though it's damn cold - I have decided that I've had enough of this wintry weather and think it's time for summer to come back.
