A couple of years ago I discovered a wonderful bush growing just in the corner of my driveway. The flowers were so small and for a quick look they looked as if they were just fuzzy little pink flowers. Well I took a couple of photos then and was so delighted to discover that the "fuzziness" was in fact lots of different little flowers. Unfortunately ever since then, the bush hadn't flowered.

Imagine my delight yesterday when I discovered it had bloomed again - probably because of the wet and warm summer we've had....... so of course I had to take some pictures of it...

This flower is just about 2" long ....

You see what I mean - lots of tiny flowers - such an incredible flower. I also looked down and saw some weeds that had died off, but had loads of tiny seeds on the stem.....

I think it's a type of fern, but I could be wrong..........

Of course the mombretia is such a beautiful sight - so many clumps of bright orange flowers everywhere you look......

and the Japanese anemone is standing up straight and has beautiful flowers......

I keep meaning to cut the bushes back on both, but then I wouldn't have such a wonderful display would I?

Talking of not cutting back on things - I usually hack back my damson tree every year, but last year I wasn't feeling too good and oh I'm so thankful I didn't - look at the crop I'm going to have this autumn, so I must dig out my old recipe for damson jam.....

and also the branches of the apple tree are so heavily laden, they are almost touching the ground.......

So I'll try not to moan about the lack of a sunny and hot summer, I do hear the moans from my daughter in Turkey who's had temperatures of over 38C / 105F or so since the beginning of June!!! I must admit it's easier to add clothes to keep warm, than it is to take your skin off to keep cool!!!!

I am going to watch the Formula One Grand Prix from Germany now, unfortunately I don't see it live, can't afford to pay the fees, so I already know who's won!! That's just not fair, still it'll be good to see the race. Have a great weekend folks
