This afternoon I nipped out to the supermarket to get some stuff for Mandi. Our friend Sharon is going out to see Mandi in just under 2 weeks and she's very kindly offered to take anything Mandi wants that she can't get in Turkey. So she wanted some antihistamine tablets and some garlic capsules because these keep the pesky mozzies away from biting her, or if they do bite her, it doesn't flare up and itch like crazy. So as she's living out there now, she needs protection against these irritating insects.....
Anyway I digress - on my way to the supermarket - I decided to go via the back roads rather than the main road because they would be busy. On my way there, I noticed a wonderful sight - a field that was just full of wild garlic........... I've never seen so many like this before - probably because of the wet and mild winter we've had. So I just had to stop and take photos.
I must add - the smell here was wonderful. I don't normally like the smell of garlic, but the wild garlic is something else. You can tell I don't get out much, waxing lyrical over wild garlic - sorry LOL

Yes eaters of Garlic are less troubled by 'Mozzies' than those that don't eat it.
Like Bernie as it looked nothing like normal garlic I had to look up your plant as it looks nothing like the wld garlic I know here which is like miniature household kitchen garlic, I learned that there are many plants classed as 'Wild Garlic', and yours is one of them, some are also called 'Wild Onios'.
Yes it often pays to take thelonger short cut when out on a nice day, ne can find many interesting things.
Enjoy Sunday.
