Tonight my daughter is going to visit Poland for 5 days. She's one of many adults escorting teenage school children to visit the Holocaust places.
Although this is going to be a very harrowing trip, I think it's so right for our children to see what horrors happened and realise that this is still going on now in various parts of the world. Hopefully this will make them feel sickened by what they see and during their lives make sure that they do all they can to prevent this happening again. You never know, one of these children might go on to be a Peace Administrator or something when they are an adult and put an end to this type of occurrence.
I am worried somewhat though, with Mandi facing this kind of thing, as she is still going through trauma counselling, but it's something she's always wanted to go and visit and this is an opportunity that doesn't come along all that often.
I just look forward to speaking to her when she comes home again and hope that she's okay with everything.
I just love this video
