In Mandi and Dogan's driveway there are still some bouganvillea out and they are just fantastic..........
I mean - how can you not be an admirer of such a beautiful flower. I know it grows in abundance over there and I mentioned to Mandi that if I had a house there, I'd have that gorgeous flower growing up the sides of the house as it does in lots of places and she just said - ''Bugs''!! Such a killjoy........
I noticed other flowers growing in abundance and they look like tagetes, but I later found out that they are hated by mosquitos and other bugs, so that's probably why it's in most peoples' gardens..........
They were very pretty and I think Mandi will be growing these next year. Still she has two lovely little cats there who would love to chase the bugs for me....
There's Alfie, who just loves his human dad, and enjoys his daily cuddle with his human mum...
and he just loves hiding under the table on the chair and every so often his head would poke out to see if we were looking for him.......
Then there's his brother Billy - now he's a character and a half. He's so funny with his little quirks. He'd come into the room, stretch his front paws and then just flop over on his side as if in one piece and immediately go to sleep......
He'd sometimes join me on my bed to have a sleep, and then cuddle in, which was lovely because I missed my two cats a lot...........
They are wonderful company for each other but they are definitely home cats - they don't stray far from the house.....
Well I've bored you enough with more trivia from my travels. I'll see if I can bore you again tomorrow LOL
It is the same in Japan in October, hundreds of flowers everywhere except for Hokkaido which has a similar climate to here in Denmark.
I can understand people planting flowers to keep the blood thirsty Mossies at bay..
I don't get bored.
Jenny McIntyre club has replied to Stormlizard clubBeautiful flowers. I saw Borg' a lot when I went to Gran Canaria on holiday many years ago. I even had a small one in a sun room in a previous house. Lovely though I think the UK is too cold for their liking otherwise I'd grow one up my house here.
