I went to my first camera club meeting tonight. Something I've been thinking about for a while, but I wasn't all that sure I had the time for it. Seemed like a friendly group of people. We spent the evening learning how to set a custom white balance in the camera. Something I never do, but I can see the application for it.

Back button focusing is reprogramming the buttons so that the an auto focus button is moved to the back of the camera and away from the shutter button. It spits up the auto exposure function from the auto focus function and give you more flexibility and control.

Sounds like you need to set up your own club! :-)

I should have went last Tuesday, but I forgot about it until it was too late. We had our first batch of cold weather this week and I was busy getting the house ready for it. They have another meeting on the 25th and I plan to try and make it.
